I've always been inspired by
From a Railway Carriage - the sense of speed, the imagery of
the fleeting scenes, the whole idea of seeing a world passing by. I've also like model railways
since the age of around 4, so it seems natural (to me) to want to bring the two concepts together.
I don't profess to be any good at modelling, or for that matter at photography. The idea behind this
website is to encourage others to look around and see everyday objects with a modeller's eye; to
imagine the history that belongs to a wall or a building, or how the passage of time and feet have
worn away a flight of steps.
Please browse the website, freely copy the pictures you like, and if you have any good examples of views
that could be 'From a Railway Carriage', send them to me and I'll include them.
